How to fix a hole in an inflatable pool float?

If your pool float has a hole, don’t fret! You don’t have to throw it away because it can still be fixed. Before you take the inflatable pool float to the pool or the beach, it would be better if you check first if there is a hole in it. It could really dampen your mood if you find out that there is actually a hole in your float when you are ready to take a dip.

So how do you check it for holes? Submerge the float in water—you can use your bathtub or your pool. If you notice the water making bubbles, then you know there is a hole. The area where there are bubbles is where your hole is located. Put a mark in that area.

Allow your float to dry and then inflate it. Put a tape on the hole as a temporary cover. Buy a vinyl patch as permanent seal for the hole. Put glue on the patch and place it over the temporary tape. Allow the glue to dry before dipping the inflatable pool float in water again. See? You don’t have to buy a new float!
